Job Overview

A law firm seeks a driven Employment Law Associate with 2 to 5 years of experience to join its team in Sacramento, California. The role involves significant responsibility and direct client interaction, offering a dynamic work environment.

Duties

  • Work on pre-litigation matters and high-profile employment cases.
  • Handle systemic discrimination and wage and hour class actions.
  • Manage Private Attorney General Act (PAGA) representative actions.
  • Respond to administrative charges and counsel clients on employment issues.
  • Take and defend depositions, make court appearances, and argue motions.
  • Participate in mediations and manage complex cases.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of litigation experience at a peer law firm.
  • Exceptional academic credentials.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Membership in the California State Bar.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Salaries are in line with other top Bay Area firms, and the firm provides a $10,000 bonus for all lawyers who bill at least 1,950 hours, with additional money based on three separate billable hour levels above 1,950.
