Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm based in New York City, NY, is currently seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team. This role is suited for someone with substantial experience in general commercial litigation, aiming to further their career in a flexible, hybrid work environment. The successful candidate will handle complex legal issues, manage relationships, and utilize excellent judgment and analytical skills in all aspects of their work.

Duties:

• Handle a broad range of general commercial litigation cases.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, arbitration, and mediation.
• Manage case preparation from initiation to conclusion.
• Collaborate with other attorneys to develop litigation strategies.
• Engage and liaise with clients, providing them with informed advice and updates on their cases.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff and paralegals.

Requirements:

• Must be admitted to the New York Bar.
• 2-4 years of relevant legal experience in general commercial litigation.
• Prior judicial clerkship experience is highly regarded but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated capability to manage a caseload independently.
• Strong interpersonal, management, and administrative skills.
• Proficient in balancing multiple tasks in a hybrid working environment.
• Excellent judgment, analytical skills, and attention to detail.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Current, active membership with the New York State Bar Association.
