Litigation Of Counsel

Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a Litigation Of Counsel with extensive experience to join their team in New York City, NY. The ideal candidate will possess strong litigation skills, particularly in product liability and complex commercial litigation, along with a science background. This position requires excellent communication, research, analytical abilities, and the capacity to work independently and collaboratively.

Job Duties:

• Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
• Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence in an efficient and responsive manner.
• Provide timely, accurate, and quality work products.
• Successfully meet deadlines and expectations and perform work duties as required.
• Foster positive work relationships.
• Comply with all firm policies and practices.
• Engage in both physical and sedentary activities, such as working at a computer for extended periods of time, participating in digital/virtual conference calls, and attending meetings as needed.
• Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of litigation experience, preferably gained at an AmLaw 100 firm.
• Experience with product liability and/or complex commercial litigation.
• A science background (MD, MPH, PharmD, Epidemiology) is required.
• Superior research, analytical, and writing skills are preferred.
• Experience with the pharmaceutical and medical device industry and clients is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
• Immediately, transferable skills and a strong academic background from nationally recognized schools are preferred.
• Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
• J.D. degree.
• New York Bar admission.
• Direct and applicable AmLaw 100 law firm experience.
