A law firm in Roseland, NJ, is seeking an Employment Associate Attorney with 2+ years of employment litigation experience. The candidate should have substantive knowledge of federal and state employment laws and familiarity with all facets of employment litigation. Strong research, analytical, and writing skills are essential. New Jersey Bar admission is required, with New York Bar admission preferred.

 

Duties:

  • Handle all aspects of employment litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery, motions, and briefs.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on federal and state employment laws.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Prepare for trials and hearings.
  • Provide advice and counsel to employers on employment-related issues.
  • Draft employment agreements, confidentiality agreements, separation agreements, and employee handbooks.
  • Represent clients before government agencies.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New Jersey Bar.
  • New York Bar admission preferred, with a willingness to apply if not already admitted.
  • 2+ years of employment litigation experience.
  • Substantive knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent writing skills.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New Jersey Bar.
  • New York Bar admission preferred.
