Mid-level and Senior Business/Commercial General Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in San Diego is seeking both Mid-level and Senior Business/Commercial General Litigation Associate Attorneys with expertise in general litigation and defense, particularly in California. The ideal candidates will have experience with consumer and CGL defense cases, demonstrating the ability to handle cases independently from start to finish, with a preference for those with expertise in habitability cases.

Duties:

• Manage and handle general litigation and defense cases with a focus on business/commercial matters.
• Independently handle cases from initiation to resolution with only general supervision.
• Conduct legal research, analysis, and case strategy development.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex litigation matters.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.
• Stay current on relevant legal developments and industry trends.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar.
• 3-7 years of general litigation and defense experience.
• Specific experience with consumer and CGL defense cases.
• Experience with habitability cases is a plus.
