A law firm is seeking a Benefits And Executive Compensation Associate Attorney with 4-6 years of experience to join their team in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

Job Overview:

• Provide counsel on employee benefits matters, including qualified retirement plans, health and welfare plans, fiduciary governance, and nonqualified plans.
• Advise on compensation and benefits issues in corporate transactions, including ESOP transactions.
• Demonstrate excellent writing skills, attention to detail, and a problem-solving attitude.
• Exhibit intrinsic motivation and possess strong academic credentials.

Duties:

• Advise clients on the design, implementation, and administration of employee benefit plans.
• Draft and review plan documents, amendments, and participant communications.
• Counsel clients on compliance with ERISA, tax, and other relevant laws and regulations.
• Assist in negotiating and drafting executive employment agreements and equity compensation plans.
• Stay current on legal developments impacting employee benefits and executive compensation.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar.
• 4-6 years of experience practicing employee benefits law, preferably in a large law firm setting.
• Familiarity with ERISA, tax laws, and regulations governing employee benefits.
• Proven track record of advising clients on various benefits and compensation matters.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Certifications:

• Membership in the American Bar Association's Section of Taxation or Section of Labor and Employment Law is desirable.
