A law firm is seeking a highly qualified Labor Associate Attorney to join their team in Seattle, WA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling various aspects of labor relations, including NLRB proceedings, collective bargaining agreements, and providing legal advice to employers. The individual should possess a JD from an ABA Accredited Law School, at least 2 years of Traditional Labor Law experience, and admission to the WA Bar.

Duties:

  • Handle unfair labor practice charges at the National Labor Relations Board (“NLRB”).
  • Conduct research and draft documents related to management labor relations.
  • Represent management in NLRB elections.
  • Provide legal advice to employers on union organizing, corporate campaigns, card checks, and neutrality agreements.
  • Negotiate and/or provide legal advice regarding collective bargaining agreements.
  • Manage grievance and arbitration proceedings.
  • Obtain mass picketing injunctions when necessary.
  • Offer legal advice regarding protected concerted activity and other issues under the National Labor Relations Act (“NLRA”).
  • Conduct management training sessions on labor relations.
  • Advise management in union work stoppage situations.

Requirements:

  • JD from an ABA Accredited Law School.
  • 2 years of Traditional Labor Law experience involving labor relations.
  • WA Bar Admission.
  • Understanding of current agency (state and federal) enforcement techniques.

Certifications:

  • WA Bar Admission.

Skills:

  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.

Education:

  • JD from an ABA Accredited Law School.
