Job Overview: A law firm specializing in employment law seeks an Employment Attorney to represent employees in various cases, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage disputes. The ideal candidate will counsel clients, handle litigation from start to finish, and advocate for employees' rights.

Duties:

  • Represent employees in cases involving wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, and other employment law issues.
  • Handle all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, negotiating settlements, and representing clients in court and before administrative agencies.
  • Provide legal advice and counseling to employees regarding their rights and obligations under federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and stay up-to-date with changes in employment law to provide informed advice and effective representation.
  • Act as an advocate for employees' rights, educating clients and the community on employment law issues.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership and good standing with the State Bar.
  • Experience in employment law, with a focus on employee representation.
  • Strong litigation experience, including trial experience.
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases with varying degrees of complexity.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in dispute resolution.

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership and good standing with the State Bar.
