A law firm in New York City is seeking an Energy and Infrastructure Transactions Associate Attorney with a focus on renewable and energy transition finance, M&A transactions, and project development. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience, with expertise in project finance, tax equity transactions, and negotiation of key project agreements. Admitted to practice law in New York, the candidate should possess strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills, demonstrating competence in managing complex transactions and comfortable client interaction.

 

Duties:

  • Represent sponsors, developers, investors, financial institutions, and other market participants.
  • Handle renewable and energy transition finance and M&A transactions.
  • Negotiate material project agreements (PPA, EPC, O&M, etc.).
  • Provide legal advice on energy project development.
  • Manage complex transactions and ensure compliance with legal standards.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their objectives and goals.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Draft and review legal documents.

 

Requirements:

  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in New York.
  • 3+ years of experience in energy and infrastructure transactions.
  • Prior law firm experience is required.
  • Experience in project finance and tax equity transactions.
