A law firm is seeking a Renewable Energy Project Development and Finance Associate Attorney in Boise. The Renewable Energy Project Development and Finance Associate Attorney will work with clients in the clean energy industry on high-quality projects across the United States. They will utilize their experience in renewable energy and commercial contracts, with a preference for experience in power purchase agreements, company or asset purchase and sale agreements, hedge contracts, equipment supply contracts, and construction contracts. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.

 

Duties:

  • Work with clients on renewable energy projects across the country
  • Assist in negotiating and drafting power purchase agreements
  • Draft and review company or asset purchase and sale agreements
  • Negotiate and draft hedge contracts, equipment supply contracts, and construction contracts
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on project development, finance, mergers & acquisitions, and commercial contracts
  • Conduct legal research on renewable energy regulations and policies
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to achieve project objectives

 

Requirements:

  • 2-7 years of law firm experience in project development, finance, mergers & acquisitions, and commercial contracts
  • Experience working in the renewable energy industry preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the state Bar

 

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of renewable energy project development and finance
  • Proficiency in negotiating and drafting commercial contracts
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Familiarity with renewable energy regulations and policies
