Job Overview:
A nationally recognized personal injury law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its team in Philadelphia, PA. This role involves managing a high-volume caseload of personal injury matters, including all aspects of litigation from pre-trial through verdict. The ideal candidate is a seasoned litigator with a strong courtroom presence, extensive trial experience, and a passion for client advocacy.

Location:

  • Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Duties:

  • Represent clients in personal injury cases through all phases of litigation

  • File lawsuits and meet directly with clients to prepare legal strategies

  • Draft and respond to discovery requests

  • Schedule, prepare for, and conduct depositions of fact and expert witnesses

  • Retain and consult with appropriate expert witnesses

  • Attend and argue motions and other court hearings

  • Represent clients in mediations and settlement conferences

  • Prepare cases for trial and serve as first or second chair at trial

  • Draft and file post-trial motions when necessary

  • Participate in internal meetings, file audits, and trial preparation clinics

Requirements:

  • Proven ability to independently manage a large, active caseload

  • Documented trial experience, including jury trials (first-chair preferred)

  • Experience supervising or directing legal support staff

  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a high-paced legal environment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in Pennsylvania (required)

  • Admission in other states is a plus

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills

  • Effective negotiation and settlement strategy skills

  • Courtroom confidence and professionalism

  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
