Job Title: Property Casualty/1st Party Property Attorney

Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm with a national presence is actively seeking an experienced litigation attorney with a background in property and casualty or first-party property matters. This position offers the flexibility of a primarily remote work arrangement, with occasional travel as needed. Duties:

  • Represent clients in complex property and casualty or first-party property litigation matters

  • Oversee case progress in both federal and state courts

  • Draft and argue motions, pleadings, complaints, and briefs independently

  • Manage discovery, conduct depositions, and prepare cases for trial

  • Collaborate with internal teams and mentor junior legal staff as needed

  • Participate in strategy development and contribute to practice area expansion

  • Engage in occasional in-person court appearances or client meetings as required

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience focused on property-casualty, first-party property, or general civil litigation

  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage a full caseload

  • Proficient in courtroom procedures and pre-trial litigation processes

  • Comfortable using legal technology to streamline litigation management

  • Admission to practice law in Texas (mandatory)

  • Preference for candidates based in or near Houston, TX

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the State of Texas

  • Additional state admissions are considered a strong plus.
