Job Overview:

A law firm is currently seeking experienced litigation attorneys for location in Birmingham. Duties:

  • Handle a variety of litigation cases from the outset.
  • Manage client relationships and provide legal advice.
  • Attend hearings and take depositions.
  • Participate in trial preparation and trials.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies.
  • Draft legal documents including motions, pleadings, and briefs.
  • Work closely with support staff, including secretaries and paralegals.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in litigation, with a focus on specific areas as needed.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage complex cases and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Florida or Alabama, depending on location.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the state bar in the relevant jurisdiction (Florida or Alabama).

Skills:

  • Strong litigation and trial skills.
  • Excellent legal research and writing capabilities.
  • Client-focused with the ability to build relationships.
  • Ability to manage casework independently and as part of a team.
