Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Labor and Employment Law Attorney to join their team as an Attorney Coach and Trainer in San Jose, CA. This role involves creating and delivering training programs through various methods, including online platforms and in-person sessions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in labor and employment law and be licensed to practice in California.

Duties

  • Create, facilitate, and deliver training programs using online and in-person methods.
  • Conduct legal practice training sessions and develop checklists and templates.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group coaching sessions to attorneys.
  • Collaborate with the Learning and Professional Development Team to identify training needs.
  • Travel for in-person training sessions and conferences as required.
  • Assist with firmwide rollouts of legal software and learn new tools quickly.

Requirements

  • Case management experience with California Employment Class Action and PAGA cases.
  • Proven ability to create and deliver training programs.
  • Experience in providing one-on-one coaching and holding office hours.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and familiarity with online training platforms.

Education

  • J.D. required.

Certifications

  • Active license to practice in California.

Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of labor and employment law, especially class action litigation in California.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms and instructional design software.
