Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Attorney for its Employment Department in San Jose. The role requires a minimum of 5+ years of labor law and employment litigation experience. Duties

• Manage cases from inception to resolution with minimal oversight.
• Conduct depositions and handle hearings as lead counsel.
• Counsel clients on wage and hour laws and litigate related cases.
• Handle class action, employment discrimination, and wrongful termination cases.
• Respond to administrative charges and manage pre-litigation disputes.
• Develop policies and conduct compliance training.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant legal experience.
• Experience in California state and federal courts.
• Familiarity with FMLA, CFRA, ADA, FLSA, and California Labor Codes.
• Ability to travel for depositions and court appearances.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the California State Bar.
