A law firm is actively seeking a seasoned Pre-Litigation Attorney to lead a dedicated team of paralegals in Southfield, MI. The ideal candidate will leverage their 5+ years of experience to manage a docket of pre-litigation files, ensuring adherence to established processes, providing strategic guidance, and delivering effective case resolutions.

 

Duties:

  • Lead and manage a team of paralegals in handling pre-litigation files.
  • Ensure strict adherence to established processes and procedures.
  • Conduct regular file reviews with paralegals, offering guidance and direction.
  • Strategize optimal case resolutions and execute them effectively.
  • Determine value ranges for claims and negotiate pre-litigation settlements.
  • Engage in client communication and meetings to provide updates and gather information.
  • Handle pre-litigation recorded statements and EUOs (Examinations Under Oath).
  • Provide daily oversight of the paralegal team to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Preference for familiarity with Michigan 1st and 3rd party auto law.
  • Demonstrate expertise in team management or extensive client engagement across various legal domains.

 

Experience:

5+ years of experience in pre-litigation matters.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Michigan.
  • Expertise in pre-litigation matters and claim valuation.
  • Familiarity with Michigan 1st and 3rd party auto law preferred.
