Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in New York City is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will assume significant responsibility in case management and client interaction.

Job Overview:

• The candidate will play a key role in managing legal matters and will have direct interaction with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts.
• Preference is given to candidates with Judicial Clerkship experience.
• Strong writing and analytical skills, along with excellent academic credentials, are essential for success in this role.

Duties:

• Manage commercial litigation matters from inception to resolution.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex issues.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court hearings, arbitrations, and mediations.
• Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates and gather information.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of strong commercial litigation experience.
• Judicial Clerkship experience is preferred.
• Excellent academic credentials and strong writing and analytical skills.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the New York State Bar, in good standing.
