Job Overview:
A respected litigation-focused law firm based in Clifton Park, NY, is seeking a driven and experienced associate attorney to support its expanding caseload. The firm represents clients in a variety of public-sector and civil matters, offering opportunities for courtroom exposure and engagement in impactful legal work. Duties:

• Represent clients in litigation matters related to civil rights, employment disputes, education law, and municipal defense

• Appear before state and federal courts to advocate on behalf of public and private entities

• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, motions, and pleadings

• Participate in discovery processes, including depositions and document review

• Engage in client meetings and provide strategic legal counsel

• Collaborate with other attorneys to develop litigation strategies

• Monitor legal developments and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Requirements:

• Admitted to practice law in New York State

• Minimum of 2 years of legal experience in litigation or related practice areas

• Proven ability to draft complex legal documents and conduct in-depth legal analysis

• Experience handling depositions and discovery strongly preferred

• Federal court admission(s) considered a plus

• Familiarity with or interest in civil rights and public-sector law

• Ties to the Capital Region or a demonstrated commitment to the community

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active and good standing with the New York State Bar

• Admission to federal courts is desirable
