The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting a wide range of legal proceedings, providing strategic legal advice, and ensuring compliance with current laws and regulations.

Job Details:

  • Conduct discovery, hearings, trials, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, arbitrations, and other similar proceedings.
  • Work closely with Principals to develop and revise appropriate legal strategies for discovery, investigation, handling, and case trials and hearings.
  • Guide clients on legal opinions, rights, and obligations.
  • Remain current with changes in the law; understand a variety of disciplines involved with cases being defended.
  • Demonstrate outstanding research and analytical skills for effective case preparation and representation.
  • Perform administrative functions related to the practice of law.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • Member in good standing of the AL State Bar, or pending Bar results.
  • Knowledge of business law and a specific understanding of the operations and requirements of clients. Experience and ability appropriate to the level of cases being handled.
  • Knowledge of state law is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills used for complex legal issues.
  • Ability to appraise, interpret, and apply legal principles and precedents to difficult legal problems.
  • Must be able to concisely and accurately communicate, both orally and in writing.

Skills:

  • Effective and collaborative working relationships with others, including peers and Principals of the firm.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Member in good standing of the AL State Bar, or pending Bar results.
