A law firm is currently seeking a Mid-level Chemical Science Patent Prosecution Patent Agent to join their team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in performing highly complex and sensitive client work, demonstrating a high level of professional capability and skill. The Mid-level Chemical Science Patent Prosecution Patent Agent will be responsible for preparing draft patent applications and responses to communications from the USPTO. This individual will collaborate with attorneys to deliver quality legal services to clients in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Admission to the USPTO is required for this role, and the candidate must possess a high level of academic achievement, along with solid law firm, engineering, or industry experience. Excellent writing and communication skills are essential. A degree in organic chemistry or chemical engineering is required, and advanced degrees in these fields are preferred.

  • Assist attorneys in delivering quality legal services to clients efficiently and cost-effectively.

 

Requirements:

  • Admission to the USPTO is mandatory.
  • 3+ years of relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience.
  • High level of academic achievement.
  • Solid law firm, engineering, or industry experience.
  • Superb writing and communication skills.

 

Education:

Bachelor's degree in organic chemistry or chemical engineering.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the USPTO.
