Job Overview:
A respected law firm is seeking a skilled and driven Litigation Attorney to join its team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advocating for clients in workplace discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination cases. Location:

Duties:

  • Handle all aspects of litigation, including case initiation, trial preparation, and appeals
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and expert witnesses
  • Engage in discovery, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission
  • Develop and execute case strategies tailored to client objectives
  • Represent clients in court hearings, mediation, and settlement negotiations
  • Collaborate with clients, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel to build strong cases
  • Stay informed on employment law trends and regulations to provide effective representation
  • Manage caseload efficiently while maintaining excellent client communication

Requirements:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active bar license in Indiana
  • 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably in employment law
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Experience taking and defending depositions
  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents, motions, and briefs
  • Courtroom experience, including motion practice and oral arguments
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
  • Passion for advocating for employees' rights and addressing workplace injustices

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active Bar license in Indiana
