In addition, Butler has counseled clients on conflicts and other governance issues for funds, corporations and other entities.

In addition to client representation, Butler is active in the legal industry and community. She is a member of the M&A Committee of the New York City Bar Association and general counsel of cmorq, a Web3 company working with blockchain technology to broaden access to decentralized finance and non-fungible tokens.
 
Butler is also active at Columbia Business School, currently as co-president of the Hispanic Business Alumni Club and previously on the advisory board for the Private Equity Program. She also leads the Harvard Club of New York City’s Mergers and Acquisitions Group.
 
In addition, Butler is the founder of War Chest Women LLC, an organization dedicated to women’s economic empowerment, and the founder and CEO of The Ellsworth Institute, a charitable organization working to increase youth access to sports.
 
Butler earned her juris doctor degree from Columbia Law School and an MBA from Columbia Business School. She earned a BA in social studies from Harvard University.
