Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney Expands White Collar Defense Practice with Former Assistant U.S. Attorney Jason Bologna
“We continue to see an increase in government investigations and compliance cases as our clients look to our deep bench for assistance. Jason’s extensive government and successful federal trial experience will be a fantastic benefit in a number of areas including the False Claims Act, a significant focus for the firm’s healthcare clients,” said David Gordon, co-chair of Buchanan’s Litigation section.
“Buchanan is an excellent firm with a strong national reputation. As I make the transition from government to private practice, I am thrilled with the opportunity to work alongside some of the best litigators in the country and use my skills to assist clients across a variety of industries,” said Bologna.
Bologna received his J.D. from the Temple University Beasley School of Law and his B.A. from Colby College. He is the recipient of several service awards including the FBI Director’s Letter, Health and Human Services, Office of Inspector General Cooperative Achievement Award, and the Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) National Award for Outstanding Investigation in Mid-Atlantic Region. He served as mentor to several Assistant United States Attorneys and taught federal criminal trial practice and advocacy as an adjunct professor at the Temple University Beasley School of Law.
Bologna joins two other recent former government officials added to the firm’s White Collar Defense practice – George Karavetsos who was most recently the director of FDA’s Office of Criminal Investigations and Allison Borgatti who served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office.
