Nicholas Martin Joins Dickinson Wright Austin Office

Dickinson Wright PLLC is pleased to announce that Nicholas Martin has joined the firm’s Austin office as Of Counsel.

Nick focuses his practice on intellectual property and technology matters. His experience involves drafting and prosecuting patent applications in fields ranging from computer science to electrical engineering. Nick has wide-ranging experience in the technology industries including web applications, networking and wireless technologies, cellular and satellite communications, image processing, mobile devices and software, financial technology, semiconductors and medical equipment.

Nick is also an experienced litigator, focusing primarily on patent litigation, where he has represented numerous clients in federal district courts across the country. Nick also regularly advises clients on a variety of matters involving technology transactions, including software licensing and IP due diligence in connection with mergers and acquisitions

Nick previously served as a Patent Examiner with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office where he examined patent applications based on the subject matter dealing with processor architecture, branch prediction, multi-threaded architecture and processing, computer and social networking, e-mail configuration, and protocol and business methods.

Nick is a member of the American Bar Association and the Institute for Information Law and Policy. He received his B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rutgers University and his J.D. from New York Law School.
