Carlton Fields Adds Real Estate Attorney in Miami

Carlton Fields is pleased to announce that Marisa C. Halm joined the firm’s Miami office as an associate. She is a member of the firm’s national Real Estate and Commercial Finance Practice, which recently earned first-tier national rankings in the U.S. News and World Report and Best Lawyers® Best Law Firms 2022 guide. She is also the third real estate attorney to join the firm in the last two months. In December 2021, Shayaan S. “Shay” Raja joined the firm in Orlando and in January 2022, Robert P. Friedman joined the firm in Los Angeles.

Halm represents developers, institutional lenders, and individual investors in a wide range of complex commercial real estate and finance transactions. She also has experience in construction litigation, including coordinating all aspects of discovery, preparing witness examinations, overseeing and reviewing demolition testing, and attending and preparing for hearings.

Halm received her J.D. from Penn State University Dickinson Law, where she received an entrepreneurship law certificate in general and transactional law and served as an author for the Inside Entrepreneurship Law blog. She received her B.A. from Allegheny College. She is licensed to practice in Florida and Pennsylvania.
