Akerman Continues New York Office Growth with White Collar Crime Partner Bradley Henry

Henry counsels foreign and domestic entities and individuals in criminal and regulatory litigation and government investigations, and internal investigations. Henry has tried more than 30 cases and has handled issues involving securities fraud, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, export violations, bank secrecy and money laundering offenses, public corruption, U.S. economic sanctions violations, corporate financial fraud, and theft of trade secrets. For clients conducting internal investigations in advance of, or in response to, government investigations, he provides counsel on cooperation, remediation and compliance and self-disclosure strategies.
Henry’s representations have involved defending clients against criminal and regulatory investigations and prosecutions by the Department of Justice (National Security Division, Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section., Environment and Natural Resources Division), Securities and Exchange Commission, Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Office of Foreign Assets Control, U.S. Attorney’s Offices and other federal, state and local agencies. Internationally, he has arbitrated cases before the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID).
Throughout his career, Henry has dedicated time to pro bono work, including having served on the Criminal Justice Act panel for the Southern District of New York, and has also served as co-chair of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s U.S.-Turkey Business Council Ad Hoc Legal Working Group.
Henry joins a deep bench of trial lawyers at Akerman. The national team of more than 350 litigators most recently welcomed former Supervisory Assistant Federal Public Defender Sowmya Bharathi as a partner in Fort Lauderdale.
