McDermott Strengthens its Corporate Financing Team with the Arrival of Aurélien Jugand
Aurélien joins McDermott from Simmons & Simmons LLP [where he held the same position] and his arrival expands our Paris financing team, which was created in 2015. Over the course of his career, Aurélien has worked very closely with a number of French and international banks, developing close relationships with key players on the market. He has significant experience in corporate and acquisition financing (particularly in the context of leveraged transactions) on behalf of lenders.
Aurélien advises banks, investment funds and debt funds. He also acts on an ad hoc basis for French and international borrowers, assisting with their acquisition, project, or asset financing operations.
“Joining McDermott means joining one of the most dynamic and ambitious firms in France today. I am proud to be able to join one of the best financing departments in Paris to develop the support of banks and debt funds in structured finance. I am looking forward to taking on new challenges alongside Pierre-Arnoux Mayoly, whom I have had the opportunity to meet on a large number of projects and whom I particularly appreciate for his personality and his technical precision,” says Aurélien Jugand.
“Aurélien’s arrival is an opportunity for the firm’s financing team. This is a strategic recruitment that will allow us to strengthen our existing activities and develop new relationships with lenders. We already work with all the major French banks in the equity bridge financing market, and Aurélien’s arrival will allow us to strengthen our ties with these institutions in the acquisition financing market. Aurélien is a great talent with a future that is almost certain to be with the firm,” said Pierre-Arnoux Mayoly, head of the firm’s financing team.
