Former FTC Attorney Joins Stinson in Minneapolis
Stinson LLP is proud to welcome Partner Jonathan Ripa to the Stinson team. Ripa brings far-reaching experience in intricate business litigation and merger enforcement matters in a multitude of industries throughout the nation.
Prior to joining Stinson, Ripa was an attorney with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) where he enforced antitrust laws through investigating mergers and litigating merger challenges. His previous government experience enables him to provide a unique and valuable perspective when advising clients on antitrust matters.
"I am excited to deploy my skills as both an advisor and litigator on behalf of Stinson's clients," said Ripa. "During my time at the FTC, I gained a deep understanding of competition law and the complex and ever-changing world of business."
Pete Schwingler, partner in the firm's Business Litigation division echoed those sentiments.
"Jon's recent FTC experience will help clients and colleagues navigate the ever-changing enforcement climate," Schwingler said.
Ripa is admitted to practice law in Minnesota, Virginia and Washington, DC. He received his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School and his undergraduate degree from Lehigh University.
