Fredrikson & Byron Expands Mergers & Acquisitions Practice with Three Attorneys

Fredrikson & Byron announces the addition of three attorneys in the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions Group, including of counsel Thomas C. Snook, associate Brendan Mochoruk and associate Zachary M. Sheahan.

Snook’s 25-year career as an attorney has given him broad and deep experience representing business in a variety of transactions and industries and advising them on their day-to-day legal needs. He now focuses on representing buyers, sellers and investors in mergers and acquisitions and other strategic transactions. With more than 15 years of in-house counsel experience, Snook understands the needs of business leaders and provides services tailored to meet those needs. Snook’s expertise includes representing companies in heavily regulated industries such as gaming, health care, health insurance and Medicare Advantage and other government health care programs.

Mochoruk’s practice focuses on advising clients on mergers, acquisitions and general corporate matters. He represents private equity funds, privately held companies, and public companies across a wide range of industries and market segments in complex business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions and corporate governance matters. Prior to joining Fredrikson & Byron, Mochoruk practiced corporate law in the Chicago office of Sidley Austin, LLP. Before attending Northwestern University School of Law, he worked as an economic policy researcher first with the White House’s Council of Economic Advisers during the Obama Administration, and then with the Hutchins Center on Fiscal and Monetary Policy in the Economic Studies Division of The Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C.

Sheahan advises clients of all sizes in pursuit of achieving strategic growth and transition objectives. His practice is focused primarily on representing companies, private equity funds and investors in acquisitions and dispositions, debt and equity financing events, and corporate governance matters, with a specialty in healthcare transactions. Sheahan is driven to help his clients develop solutions to the complex problems posed by commercial transactions. He facilitates the key components of all transactions such as contract drafting, negotiation and due diligence by employing practical and efficient techniques.
