Tyson & Mendes Adds Partner in Las Vegas Office: Seasoned Litigator Scott Cook Joins Growing Civil Defense Firm
Tyson & Mendes LLP – a leading insurance and civil litigation defense firm – announced today the addition of Scott Cook as a partner in its growing Las Vegas office.
A longtime law firm partner in Las Vegas, Cook has over 30 years of litigation experience, including all aspects of general liability, complex and mass tort litigation, insurance, health care, regulatory law and business litigation as well as catastrophic injury/damage, complex/mass litigation in tort, multi-state litigation, environmental litigation, explosion/fire litigation, health care law, employer/employment law and insurance law.

Cook has extensive experience with high profile national firms, including working as managing partner for Gordon & Rees, where he expanded the firm’s Las Vegas presence. He also managed litigation for Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company, a multi-state insurance carrier, and has garnered multiple awards for his work from entities such as the Colorado Defense Lawyer’s Association, the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, the Self-Insurance Institute of America, and the American Legal Administrators.
Licensed to practice law in Arizona, Colorado, Nebraska, Nevada, and New Mexico, Cook earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Government from the University of Nebraska and a Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska College of Law.
