Spencer Fane LLP is pleased to announce Sean Whyte has joined the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group as an of counsel attorney in the firm’s Phoenix office.
Sean brings an extensive background as an entrepreneur and an academic to his private practice, helping clients to efficiently and effectively handle all types of litigation. His experience includes numerous consumer class action and patent cases taken to trial with a strong record of success in both state and federal court.
Most notably, Sean has significant experience with blockchain technology, advising companies based on insights from working with individual blockchains, cryptocurrency exchanges, and companies building businesses utilizing the technology. He formerly served as chief operating officer and general counsel of a blockchain software development company and uses insights from this role to aid early-stage technology startups with their unique legal issues.

Sean completed his undergraduate studies at West Virginia University and later obtained a master’s degree in philosophy before earning his Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law.
