Carlton Fields Adds Three Attorneys

Carlton Fields is pleased to welcome three associates in two offices, expanding three practice groups: Business Litigation, Construction, and Real Property Litigation.

Samia G. Bennouna
Samia G. Bennouna is a member of the firm’s Real Property Litigation Practice Group. She represents clients in a wide range of commercial disputes that involve every aspect of the rights and duties associated with real property. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and her B.S., magna cum laude, from the University of Central Florida. During law school, Bennouna was a legal intern at the State Attorney’s Office in Orlando. She also served as senior articles editor of the University of Florida Journal of Law and Public Policy and as a teaching assistant in Legal Writing and Appellate Advocacy. Additionally, Bennouna served as a certified legal intern in the Intimate Partner Violence Assistance Clinic at UF Law.
 
Jacob C. Duval Jacob C. Duval is a member of the firm’s Construction Practice Group. He represents general contractors, subcontractors, homebuilders, and manufacturers in a variety of matters including construction defects, construction liens, and payment and contract disputes. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Duval worked in the construction industry after graduating summa cum laude from the Rinker School of Construction Management at the University of Florida. His education and experience on large and small-scale construction projects helps him guide clients through the challenges they navigate on a day-to-day basis. Duval earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. While in law school, Jacob worked as a judicial intern for the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. During his third year, Duval served as president of Florida Blue Key and was inducted into the UF Hall of Fame.

Katie L. Sadlo Katie L. Sadlo is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation Practice Group. She has handled matters involving antitrust law, defamation, handset trafficking, and employment law, among other issues. She earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and her B.A. and B.S. from the University of Florida. During law school, Sadlo served as a certified legal intern for the Criminal Defense Clinic, where she represented indigent persons accused of crimes in Alachua County at the Office of the Public Defender Eighth Judicial Circuit. She also served as a judicial intern for the Hon. Bruce E. Reinhart of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. At UF Law, Sadlo served as a general editor of the University of Florida Journal of Law and Public Policy and as chair of intramural competition for the Florida Trial Team.
