Adams and Reese announces the appointment of Special Counsel Roy Hadley to the 2019-2020 Atlanta Chief Information Officer (CIO) Advisory Board. In this position, Hadley will have the opportunity to shape the direction of technology in Atlanta and become a Change Agent for the betterment of City residents and visitors.

Members of the CIO Advisory Board are comprised of trusted leaders in the industry known for being changemakers in their career and community. The board’s mission is to help influence the City of Atlanta’s innovation agenda and city-wide adoption of technology development and implementation.

Hadley counsels clients worldwide on complex corporate transactions, particularly those involving technology, cyber security, life sciences, economic development, telecommunications, outsourcing and intellectual property. He provides guidance to a wide array of companies and their boards on issues related to data security and privacy, technology and business process outsourcing, health information technology, software development and licensing.

He also serves as independent counsel to boards and board committees on cyber security matters, helping them understand and mitigate legal risks and exposures to protect themselves and the companies they serve.

Hadley is a member of the Atlanta Bar Association and the Georgia Bar Association. He is a former board member of the Atlanta Legal Diversity Consortium and is currently on the Technology Marketing Council of the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, as well as an Advisory Committee Member of the United States Law Firm Group Diversity Committee. He served on the board of the Atlanta branch of the South African Business Chamber of Commerce, and he is currently the board chair of the Technology Association of Georgia Information Security Society and an advisory board member of the National Technology Security Coalition.
