Michael Best Strengthens Madison Office
Summary: Michael Best & Friedrich added a real estate partner to their Madison office.
Michael Best & Friedrich LLP announced the addition of Kevin A. Martin to their Madison real estate group. Martin will join as a partner from Foley Lardner, where he was a senior counsel.
Corporate & Transactional Practice group chair Bret Roge said, “Kevin’s broad range of commercial real estate and project financing experience will greatly benefit our clients and strengthen our real estate practice. He’s well-respected in the real estate and legal communities and serves as an excellent addition to our growing practice.”
Martin will focus on representing lenders and developers in commercial real estate transactions such as sale, purchase, and development of multifamily housing, manufacturing facilities, and retail and office space. His real estate finance experience includes traditional mortgage financing, HUD-insured financing, and New Markets Tax Credit. He has also handled real estate matters involving renewable and traditional energy projects and with aviation and port authority real estate work.
Martin earned his J.D. from Boston College Law School and his B.A. from Marquette University. He interned with the legal department of the Massachusetts Port Authority during law school.
