Baker Donelson Health Law Team in Florida Gets Boost
Summary: Baker Donelson welcomed a team of health law attorneys to their Fort Lauderdale, Florida office.
Baker Donelson announced the addition of two attorneys in their Fort Lauderdale office. Jodi B. Laurence and Melissa Goldman have joined the Baker Ober Health Law Group.
Fort Lauderdale and Orlando managing shareholder James M. Talley said, “Jodi and Melissa are respected attorneys in the state and bring a wealth of health law experience to our Florida team, strengthening our position in the region and enhancing our capabilities to offer excellent client service.”
Laurence will join as a shareholder, focusing on health care regulatory issues such as corporate compliance and fraud and abuse. She also has experience with formation and structuring of health care companies and providers, contacting, mergers and acquisitions, corporate compliance and fraud and abuse matters. She earned her J.D. from the University of Miami Law School, where she now serves as an adjunct professor.
Goldman joins the firm as an associate, focusing her practice on advising clients on health care regulatory compliance involving digital health, telehealth, and health care technology. She also has extensive experience working on a range of health care technology issues as a former associate general counsel and interim Chief Compliance Officer at one of the nation’s top telehealth companies.
The Baker Ober Health Law group has over 200 attorneys located in ten states and Washington D.C. It is recognized as being one of the top health law practices in the country.
