Dallas Welcomes Sheppard Mullin Office
Summary: Sheppard Mullin has opened an office in Dallas, further strengthening their capabilities in Texas with a strong team of attorneys.
Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP announced the opening of their new office in Dallas, Texas. This new office is the law firm’s 16th overall and 11th in the country.
Vice Chairman Jon W. Newby said, “The firm has experienced 27 consecutive years of revenue growth. We will continue to expand in our existing markets, but Dallas is an ideal new market for future growth as we have nearly 100 clients are either headquartered or have substantial operations in the area. The Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area has a dynamic and diversified economy which dovetails nicely with our broad practice mix and varied industry teams. We are thrilled to have attracted incredibly talented attorneys with diverse practices in the areas of commercial litigation, corporate, intellectual property, labor and employment, real estate and white collar to open the office and help us better serve our clients in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This great group of team-oriented individuals will help us further develop new office.”
Joining the Dallas office will be: Gemma L. Descoteaux, Stephen E. Fox, and William B. Mateja from Polsinelli LLP; Jason Mueller from Locke Lord LLP; Evan C. Williams from Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP; Dwight M. Francis from Foley & Lardner LLP; Jennifer Klein Ayers and Steven G. Schortgen from K&L Gates LLP; and Carolyn R. Benson and Yvette J. Mabbun from Quilling, Selander, Lownds, Winslett & Moser P.C. Managing partners will be Fox and Schortgen with Gemma Descoteaux as lateral hiring partner.
As a whole, the group brings substantial experience to the firm in commercial litigation, employment litigation and counseling, fund formation and management, mergers and acquisitions, real estate asset management, fund formation and management, white collar defense, and intellectual property litigation and portfolio management.
