Loeb & Loeb LLP announced the addition of a partner to their Washington D.C. office. Todd I. Steinberg will be a partner in the Trust and Estates Department. The firm serves a preeminent private client platform of high net worth individuals, families, nonprofit organizations and closely held businesses. Before joining Loeb & Loeb he was a shareholder at Greenberg Traurig.

Loeb & Loeb Chairman Kenneth R. Florin said, “We are proud of Loeb’s standing as one of the nation’s premier law firms for trust and estates matters, and the addition of an attorney with Todd’s pedigree demonstrates our sustained commitment to this key area of practice. D.C. remains a very important market for our firm and we are delighted to further grow our presence there with a strategic hire like Todd.”

Steinberg will focus on estate and income tax planning for high net worth individuals and their families. This means assisting multi-generational wealth preservation and accumulation in addition to probate and trust administration and charitable planned giving. He has extensive experience in complex, post-death estate and trust administration, and fiduciary litigation matters. He has helped clients with IRS estate and gift tax examinations, IRS appeals and state and federal tax controversy matters related to those matters.

Loeb & Loeb co-chair of the Trusts and Estates Department Bruce J. Wexler added, “Todd is a talented attorney with deep and diverse experience who will be a terrific asset to our clients and our team in D.C. and nationally. It’s a pleasure to welcome him.”

Loeb & Loeb partner Marcus S. Owens said, “Beyond the obvious complement to the firm’s comprehensive trusts and estates practice, Todd’s background and skill set offer great potential synergy with our robust practice addressing the needs of tax-exempt organizations.”

Steinberg earned his J.D. from George Washington University School of Law and a B.A. from George Washington University in International Affairs and Economics.
