Corporate Practice at Mintz Levin Continues Growth
Summary: Mintz Levin made another big addition by adding a high-profile attorney to their Corporate and Securities Practice in San Francisco.
Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. is continuing to grow its San Francisco office with the addition of a high-profile attorney. Greg Chin will join the Corporate and Securities Practice as a Member. Chin joins from Silicon Valley law firm Flatiron Law Group LLP where he was leading the firm.
Mintz Levin’s Managing Member of the San Francisco office, Paul Churchill said, “Greg is known and highly regarded throughout the Silicon Valley tech community and within our firm. He is going to be a tremendous fit in our emerging companies and energy technology practices, and we are delighted to welcome him to the firm.”
Chin will work with public and private companies in life sciences, clean tech, digital health and other growing industries. He regularly advises venture capital firms and investment banks working with companies in these emerging industries.
Mintz Levin Managing Member Bob Bodian added, “Greg is well-connected within the Bay Area and Silicon Valley business community and has been working alongside clients in high-growth areas for years. Chin was also a partner in the Silicon Valley office of Jones Day and a partner at Latham & Watkins where he helped start their cleantech practice. He was also on the Board of Directors of Hillel at Stanford University from 2003 to 2010. He received his undergraduate degree from Yale and his J.D. from Harvard Law School. Before law school, he spent time working in business development and marketing in Japan.
Other recent additions to the San Francisco office include IP practitioners Alex Trimble and Steve Akerley.
