Andrea Chambers will be joining the Washington D.C. office of DLA Piper in their Finance department. Chambers brings over 20 years of experience in the energy-sector to DLA Piper.

She has extensive experience going before the Federal Energy Regulation Commission (FERC) and advising clients on wholesale electric energy markets, electric transmission facilities, natural gas pipelines, ratemaking and tariffs, and storage infrastructure.

Global co-chair of the Energy sector at DLA Piper, Joseph Tato said, “Andrea is highly regarded within the FERC community and is well known for her ability to provide strong regulatory advice. Her knowledge of FERC regulatory and administrative matters will benefit clients as they continue to grapple with regulatory compliance in an evolving energy sector.”

DLA Piper has added several new additions to their firm lately including Timothy Moran, Gregory Smith, and Vanessa Richelle Wilson. Managing partner of DLA Piper’s Washington D.C. office Mary Gately said, “We’ve brought in some strong talent covering a variety of areas to our Finance team in Washington and across the firm this year. Andrea adds to that with her strong experience with interstate pipeline projects and geothermal and wind developers, as well as her success in litigation before FERC and appellate courts nationwide.”

Chambers earned her J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law and her B.A. from Georgetown University.
