Team of Private Equity Lawyers Join Sidley Austin

In an announcement today, Sidley Austin LLP stated their pleasure in welcoming a team of six new partners to their Private Equity and Corporate Practice in London. The group has worked together for a number of years representing private equity sponsors in Europe.

Erik Dahl and Christian Iwasko, corporate partners, have worked together for the past 13 years. Sava Savov and Fatema Orjela have also worked advising private equity clients on the many aspects of a business. The other members include Bryan Robson and Oliver Currall. All members are joining from Kirkland & Ellis.

Erik C. Dahl has led a number of high-profile, cross-border leveraged buyouts and financial restructurings. He is recognized as a “World’s Leading Lawyer” in Corporate/M&A by Chambers Global. He earned his B.A. from West Point and his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School.
Christian A. Iwasko focuses his work on advising European and U.S. clients in buyouts, debt and equity restructurings, fund formations, and management of equity plans. He earned his B.S. from the University of Michigan, a J.D. from Columbia Law School, and an LLM from the University College London.
Sava Savov earned his B.A. from Brown University and his J.D. from Harvard Law School.
Fatema Orjela specializes in giving strategic counsel for things such as leveraged buyouts, M&A, joint ventures, and more. She earned her B.A. from Brasenose College, Oxford University and finished law school at Oxford Institute of Legal Practice.
Oliver Currall is a tax partner that received his B.A. from the University of Cambridge and finished law school at the Oxford Institute of Legal Practice.
Bryan Robson excels in advising financial sponsors, credit funds, and other lenders in matters related to leveraged finance. He earned his B.A. from the University College London and a Graduate Diploma in Law from BPP University Law School.
