Over 100 Dickstein Shapiro Attorneys Join Blank Rome
Summary: Blank Rome LLP has welcomed over 100 attorneys and staff from Dickstein Shapiro offices in Washington D.C. and New York.
Dickstein Shapiro LLP lost over 100 attorneys plus staff from their New York and Washington D.C. offices to Blank Rome LLP. Now Blank Rome has over 620 attorneys in 14 offices, with their Washington D.C. office nearly tripling in size.
The addition of the attorneys and staff will provide Blank Rome’s clients with expanded and enhanced capabilities including a prominent insurance coverage and government contracts practice, leading intellectual property group, and greater strategic depth in key practice areas of the D.C. office.
Blank Rome Chairman and Managing Partner Alan J. Hoffman said, “It is amazing to think that just 15 years ago, Blank Rome was primarily a Phildelphia law firm. In line with our current strategic plan, this is the latest in a robust series of targeted lateral hires, acquisitions, and combinations that our Firm has successfully completed in recent years. As Blank Rome celebrates its 70th anniversary, we are excited to help our clients tackle the full range of their most critical legal challenges now and for decades to come.”
Ninety attorneys will be joining the D.C. office and 13 will be in New York. The practice areas the attorneys cover include intellectual property, insurance coverage, dispute resolution, government contracts, real estate, corporate and finance, and complex litigation.
With so many attorneys joining the D.C. office, Blank Rome plans to move into the Dickstein Shapiro office at 1825 Eye Street NW.
