Dewey WARNs Employees About Possible Firm Closure

Embattled law firm Dewey & LeBoeuf has sent out a letter to all its U.S. employees telling them that the firm could close. But the letter, sent out by executive partner Stephen J. Horvath, also says that the firm is issuing this notice only to meet some labor laws, most notably the WARN Act. The WARN Act, stands for Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act. According to this act, firms with more than 100 employees have to provide their employees with a 60-day notice period if the firm is going to be shut down.
