Cleary, Paul Weiss Advise Brookfield On Town Buy

Brookfield Asset Management has plans to convert Stuyvesant Town and Peter Cooper Village complexes to tenant-owned condominiums, two years after taking over it. Brookfield has grouped with the tenants association of Manhattan's largest residential development in an effort to buy the property. Paul Weiss partners Meredith Kane, Brian Hermann, and Alan Kornberg, as well as two associates are representing the tenants. Meanwhile, Brookfield will be represented by Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton partners Steven Horowitz, Steven Wilner, and Sean O'Neal, and two associates.
