Dewey & LeBoeuf To Serve As Counsel To MF Global Holdings
Dewey & LeBoeuf has been hired as counsel by derivatives and commodities broker MF Global Holdings in the Chapter 11 case. Dewey's business solutions chair, Martin Bienenstock, along with partners Michael Kessler and Irena Goldstein, is advising the five-member committee which consists of Bank of America, Caplin Systems, Elliott Management, JPMorgan Chase, and the Wilmington Trust Company. Court documents filed by Hughes Hubbard & Reed lawyers reveal that the firm is keen to discount its hourly rates by 10 percent.
