State agents investigate the nationwide mortgage related scam

Calabasas law firm of Kramer and Kaslow was raided and taken over by State agents, this week, as part of an investigation for allegedly running a nationwide scam to trick desperate homeowners into paying thousands of dollars to join uncertain grievances against some of the country's largest banks. The defendants allegedly offered people a chance to receive damages and title to their homes free and clear from mortgage lenders like US Bank if they became part of a lawsuit against the lenders, for which they supposedly had to pay the lawyers and their representatives up to $10,000. Assets of four lawyers, three law firms and 14 other defendants who were involved in the scam have been frozen. The attorneys and their colleagues are anticipated to have received millions of dollars in fees while the homeowners have absolutely nothing but smaller bank accounts.
