The Government's top antitrust lawyer, is leaving the Justice Department to join Cravath, Swaine & Moore
The government's antitrust lawyer, Christine A. Varney, is joining Cravath, Swaine & Moore as a partner. She is with the Justice Department as head of antitrust enforcement. Ms. Varney was appointed in January 2009 by President Obama. She fought against Cravath a number of times at the Justice Department. She is planning to leave the Justice Department next month and join Cravath in September.
