Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Law & Motion Attorney specializing in Wage & Hour Class Action cases to join their team in Los Angeles, CA. This role involves crafting persuasive motions and collaborating with a seasoned litigation team to advance high-stakes wage and hour claims impacting workers across California.

Duties

• Draft and oppose motions, including class certification and summary judgment.
• Collaborate with trial attorneys on legal strategies for class action cases.
• Conduct legal research on complex labor law issues.
• Argue motions and oppositions in court.
• Analyze deposition transcripts and expert reports for motion work.
• Participate in meet-and-confers with opposing counsel.
• Stay current on labor and employment law developments.

Requirements

• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
• Excellence in legal writing, research, and analysis.
• Familiarity with the California Labor Code and federal wage laws.
• Success in drafting or opposing dispositive motions.
• Ability to apply discovery facts to legal frameworks.
• Strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in class action, PAGA, or employment law required.

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
