Family Law Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm based in Huntsville, Alabama is currently seeking a motivated and compassionate Family Law Attorney to manage all aspects of family law cases. This hybrid role allows for remote work, except when in-person attendance is necessary for court, depositions, mediations, and client meetings. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong legal acumen, a commitment to client care, and the discipline to maintain a billable hour target in a partially remote work environment.

Location:

• Huntsville, Alabama

Duties:

• Manage family law cases through resolution with professionalism and attention to detail

• Develop and implement legal strategies tailored to client goals

• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings and legal documents, and prepare for hearings and trials

• Communicate with clients regularly to provide updates and support

• Maintain a minimum of 30 billable hours per week

• Monitor billing and payment status to ensure timely collection

• Address client concerns with empathy and promptness

• Adhere to all legal, ethical, and internal policies related to case and client management

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in Alabama (or eligible within one month)

• Proven knowledge of family law statutes and procedures

• Minimum capability to maintain 30 billable hours weekly

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

• Reliable home office setup, including computer and high-speed internet

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Active or pending license to practice law in the state of Alabama
