Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking a highly skilled Project Development & Finance Associate to join its corporate practice group. The ideal candidate will have experience in M&A, financing transactions, debt finance, and renewable energy transactions. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse client base, including project sponsors, developers, financial institutions, investors, and technology companies.

Location:

  • Houston, TX

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel on project development and finance transactions.

  • Advise clients on M&A transactions and debt finance matters.

  • Assist in structuring and negotiating financing deals, particularly in the renewable energy sector.

  • Work closely with project sponsors, developers, and investors to navigate complex legal and regulatory issues.

  • Draft and review legal documents, including financing agreements and corporate contracts.

  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop innovative legal solutions.

Requirements:

  • Must be a licensed attorney in good standing with the relevant state bar.

  • Should have 4-7 years of experience.

  • Strong understanding of project finance, M&A, and debt financing.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

Skills:

  • Exceptional legal research and writing abilities.

  • Strong negotiation and contract drafting skills.

  • Ability to analyze complex financial and regulatory matters.
