Boston office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a patent agent with 1-3 years of institutional or law firm employment. The candidate should have a Ph.D. in organic chemistry and a commitment to pursue a career in intellectual property law. Must have proficiency in drafting patent applications, particularly in areas of small molecule therapeutics and immunotherapies, proficiency in ChemDraw, and a basic understanding of statutory criteria for patentability and USPTO rules of procedure. Should have a strong academic record and excellent communication skills. Must be a registered US Patent Agent or Technical Specialist.

This old Boston firm has remained a mid-sized regional player while other firms have elected to grow more dramatically in size. Approximately 1:1 partner-to-associate ratio keeps most of the lawyers here fairly busy in all of their full service practice areas, with a special emphasis on business litigation, soft IP, employment and real estate.
